“The file of tax deposit theft is a complicated one, and investigations into its details are not yet complete,” said Al-Jabri. He confirmed that the real value of the stolen amount is much higher than what has been circulated.
“The money that was stolen during the time of the previous government is huge, ” he added. “Not declaring the amount of theft in the tax deposit file is a proof that it has been discovered that there are other thefts whose investigations are underway, ” he said.
“Restitution of all funds that were stolen, uncovering all those involved, and prosecution before the law, as corruption is no-less-dangerous evil than terrorism, ” he said.
