Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, on Monday, emphasized the importance of the government’s policy of balance and raising the level of communication with the region.
Al-Sudani said in a joint press conference with his Jordanian counterpart and his follow-up / Al-Maluma / that “the Jordanian Prime Minister’s visit to Baghdad confirms the depth of the relationship between Iraq and Jordan”, pointing out that “the bilateral meetings were positive”.
He added that “the Iraqi government emphasizes on the policy of balance in the region”, saying that “Iraq emphasizes on raising the level of communication with the region”.
He pointed out that “Jordan is a complementary and integrated arena with the Iraqi economy and aims to expand cooperation”, adding, “Emphasis on the increase of flights between Iraq and Jordan”.
He stated that there are promising projects and proposals currently being discussed that would benefit Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt. Additionally, he mentioned that there is specialized equipment available in both Iraq and Jordan to facilitate trade between the two nations.
He stated that burning the Holy Qur’an is a clear act of transgression that holds no value in terms of freedom of expression.
