Today, Monday, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, had a meeting with the Jordanian Prime Minister, Bishr Al-Khasawneh. The latter arrived in Baghdad earlier today and the two leaders are scheduled to have extended meetings in the near future.
As per a statement released by Al-Sudani’s office and received by Shafaq News agency, the Iraqi Prime Minister hosted an official reception ceremony for his guest. The ceremony included the playing of two national anthems and a review of the guard of honor.
Following the reception ceremony, His Excellency had a meeting with Mr. Al-Khasawneh. They will soon commence official talks as part of the joint Iraqi-Jordanian committee’s expanded meetings. These meetings will cover various economic topics, as well as cooperation and shared concerns between the two brotherly nations. This information comes from an official statement.
