Denmark denies withdrawing its diplomats from Iraq: they are enjoying the summer vacation

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday, withdrew its diplomatic mission from Iraq, following protests in Baghdad, after burning a copy of the Quran in Copenhagen.

The spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “the diplomatic staff of the Danish mission in Baghdad betrayed the Iraqi territory for two days.”

“I did not withdraw from Iraq,” he stated.
