The popular movement accuses Washington of imposing guardianship over Iraq

On Monday, the popular movement warned the government about the consequences of delaying the previous parliament’s decision to withdraw foreign forces from Iraq.

The head of the movement’s organizing body, Hussein Ali Jassim, stated in an interview that America is exerting its influence over Iraq’s sovereignty and still pushing for delaying the withdrawal issue.

He stated that there is marketing for the previous parliament’s decision to remove all foreign forces, especially American forces, from the country according to a specific timetable.

He emphasized that the people do not want foreign forces in the country. He urged the coordination framework forces to schedule a meeting at the House of Representatives to discuss the plan for withdrawing foreign troops from the country.

The Popular Legal Movement demanded that the decision to remove foreign forces from Iraq be reconsidered and put back on the parliamentary table, calling it a media frenzy.
