The Iraqi MP Haider Al-Salami submitted a proposal to support the endorsement of the salary scale.
Al-Salami further clarified, “The government has to be called upon for seriousness in continuing this process till its final state of disparity between groups,” adding, “A unified salary scale is necessary to achieve justice and remove inequality.”.
He now offers what he called a “roadmap with important points, which are objective measures to begin with canceling privileges of political leaders and senior government officials, reducing protections, seeking to recover money from the corrupt.” He added that it contained “important points.”.
He said, “The roadmap will provide more funds that could help in increasing the pace of approving the law of the salary scale for Iraqi state institutions.”
It should be noted here that the salary scale was proposed many months ago and the government established certain committees to follow certain paths regarding it. However, approval depends on a lot of legal factors.
