Government talk about the dollar crisis: We may have to do this

Kindly consider the following:

The official Iraq spokesman, Basem Al-Awadi, talked on the achievements of Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani’s government during its first year of existence. Al-Awadi said that if the situation gets worse, the government might want to take direct consideration of dollar sales since the plan of the government has established political benchmarks.

Al-Awadi promised to better the situation and inspire optimism in the people for the first year of the government during an interview on Al-Sumaria TV’s Twenty show.

Under his tenure, Al-Sudani instituted a set of political rules emphasizing public services, poverty, unemployment, and job possibilities. Al-Sudani had notably not before used executive control over the decision-making process. Moreover, it was declared that every six months the performance of the government would be evaluated.

During its first year, the government accomplished over 35% of its program.

He said that because they didn’t waste anything, they were able to get back more than $100 million and save a billion dollars in the first year. After getting 30,000 tips, they looked into 8,690 people. Three thousand fifteen arrest warrants were made, one thousand three hundred people were caught, and seventy files of people wanted were found.

In his speech, Al-Awadi talked about the dollar problem and how it sets prices for things like cars, homes, and building materials. He did say, though, that it is very important that the government has been able to keep the prices of things like food fixed.

He said, “We will use the yen for trading with China, and the toman and dirham for Iran and the Emirates.”

He pointed out that if the crisis continues, the government may have to sell the dollar directly through exchanges to combat inflation that decreased by 4%.

People thought that Washington would be angry about what Al-Sudani said at the Cairo meeting. The formal government spokesman made it clear that Iraq is a sovereign country that can make its own choices. Al-Sudani’s speech only showed the view of Iraq and its people. The government doesn’t care if people agree with this position or find it wrong.

It was made clear that the government was responsible for protecting its missions and that there had been no specific threats about Al-Sudani’s speech.
