Thursday morning on the markets of Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, the US dollar exchange rate increased.
While yesterday, Wednesday, it recorded 148,850 dinars for every 100 dollars, Shafaq News Agency correspondent claimed that the dollar prices jumped with the opening of Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock markets to record 149,101 Iraqi dinars for each 100 dollars.
Our correspondent said that whilst the purchasing price for every 100 dollars reached 148,000 dinars, the selling prices in the exchange stores in the local marketplaces in Baghdad soared as the selling price hit 150,000 dinars.
With the selling price at 149,101 dinars per dollar and the buying price at 149,000 dinars per 100 dollars, the dollar also showed increase at exchange stores in Erbil.
