Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived in Baghdad on Tuesday evening for talks with senior Iraqi officials.
Upon landing at Baghdad International Airport, the Turkish diplomat was welcomed by his Iraqi counterpart, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, and a group of top ministry officials, according to a correspondent from Shafaq News Agency.
The trip itinerary for Fidan includes a visit to the Kurdistan Region.
In March, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara for talks on water and security.
