Focus2Move, a global automotive knowledge and counseling company, revealed in a new paper that Toyota drove the deals in the main half of 2024 in the Iraqi market.

The survey claims that over the same period in 2023 and the first half of 2024, automobile sales in Iraq rose by 26.4%.

With 69,072 vehicles sold in the first half of 2024, June represented the eighteenth straight month of an increase in vehicle sales with 11,222 new vehicles registered just in June alone.

When brand-wise cumulative data is analyzed, Toyota lead the market with 19,629 new sales up until June 2024 closely followed by Kia with 17,656 new sales.

Third-blockbuster in the Iraqi market Hyundai had 7,980 offers. With 5,619 deals,MG ranked fourth.

Following a period of steady expansion, the fight against ISIS had negative repercussions on the Iraqi economy, which caused a decline in the automotive market between 2014 and 2016.

Although long term development has been set up beginning around 2017, car deals overall expanded in 2016 with around 40,000 new registered automobiles.

The best yearly volume in the preceding eight years—vehicle deals grew by 26.7% to 107,990 in 2022.
