On Saturday, Zainab al-Moussawi, who represents the Sadiqun bloc, accused the United States of attempting to sabotage the Iraqi government’s reforms.
Al-Moussawi reportedly stated to Al-Maalouma that the US sanctions on Iraqi banks aim to stir up unfavorable opinions about the government of Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani among the Iraqi citizens.
She stated that there will be an increase in US interventions in the coming days, which could result in the imposition of sanctions on additional banks.
She expressed that American decisions are breaking international laws, particularly with the Sudanese government’s advancement in tackling corruption and other matters related to sovereignty and economy.
