Mr. Rashid Al-Husseini, the Commissioner of the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf, has issued a warning against the implementation of harmful laws that certain travel agencies are attempting to push through the House of Representatives.

During a Husseini council, Al-Husseini stated, as reported by Al-Maalouma Agency, that certain Western delegations are attempting to enforce laws that have provisions which can result in the destruction of society and families. Al-Husseini pointed out that the Child Protection and Domestic Violence Law’s title does not accurately reflect the dangerous content contained within its provisions.

The reference commissioner called to express his desire to put an end to Western efforts to spread immorality and establish it systematically. He also called for the withdrawal from any treaty that promotes obscenity with the West, such as CEDAW. Additionally, he believes that it is necessary to abolish the women’s empowerment department, as well as its divisions and gender divisions within state institutions.

During his speech, Al-Husseini emphasized the need for a review of non-governmental organizations, Western schools and universities, and their presence in Iraq. He also suggested that the government should limit the movement of Western diplomats and their establishments within the country.

During an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, Member of Parliament Muhammad Karim stated that the American ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, is leading a cultural movement that aims to dismantle the social fabric of Iraq. He called upon political forces and the national media to confront her and expose the truth.
