The Kurdistan Democratic Party denies providing the names of "aliens" to Baghdad

On Saturday, Representative Mahma Khalil, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, refuted claims that the Kurdish negotiating delegation in Baghdad provided false names to regional employees. He clarified that the delegation covered various topics during their discussions, including oil and gas, and urged for the speedy implementation of relevant legislation.

In a statement to Al-Maalouma, Khalil denied the reports made by certain media outlets and politicians regarding the Kurdish delegation presenting thousands of fake names (aliens) as employees in the region. He stated that these claims are false.

According to him, the Kurdish delegation’s negotiations, along with previous ones, occurred in a positive environment. The federal government is still discussing crucial matters, including activating Article 140 concerning the disputed areas, oil and gas, the region’s employees’ salary file, and other files that can establish a framework for the relationship between the region and the center. All outstanding issues between the region and the center are being addressed.
