The Central Bank of Iraq denies the US Federal Reserve’s refusal to send the country’s oil dues

The dollar shipments sent by the US Federal Bank are proceeding according to a specific schedule and timings agreed upon between the Central Bank of Iraq and the US Federal Bank. The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed this news on Friday.

He stated that the shipment was received on time despite news and media reports claiming otherwise.

The Central Bank of Iraq has urged the media to ensure accuracy when publishing monetary policy-related information about Iraq. They should obtain it from approved sources through the official website and official social media accounts.

According to “The Wall Street Journal,” Washington denied Iraq’s request for one billion dollars in cash from the Federal Reserve Bank. The reason behind the rejection is that it goes against their efforts to reduce Baghdad’s use of the dollar and prevent illegal cash transfers to Iran.

The American newspaper reported that American officials claimed Iraqi banknotes are being used to fund militias, corrupt politicians, and Iran.
