The bank, Rafidain Bank, is keen to spread good practices of its electronic services not only among its customers but also across the public. The consumers were alerted to be aware and take all possible precautions against these risks, that may result from the attempts made to grab their personal and financial data through viruses, spyware, identity theft, or electronic fraud.
Rafidain Bank called on its clientele today to stick to the following tips: Change your password periodically to avoid any simple knowledge; it is kept confidential and not to use known and easily guessed passwords. Be careful, the bank urged its clients, not to use any known information as a password, such as their telephone number or date of birth or easily recognizable element of their name, for their safety and security.
Whether information to the customer is paid or not, the statement by the bank advises consumers to update their information and data from time to time in case of any changes through the branches. Customers are also advised to keep their phone banking, Internet banking, Master or Visa Card salary card number private.
It also encouraged them to “detailedly review your account movements on a permanent basis by means of account statement, movements in the phone application,” and that if they have any questions with respect to any of them, then it was clear for them to visit their branch or, in general, management within the Banking Awareness and Public Protection Department. He warned, “Do not click links you receive via WhatsApp or social networks or those which are published in comments.” Also, he added, “Do not trust any social media page that claims it is going to make you a quick profit, whether working from home or the Internet.”
