Two convicts were sentenced five years by the Karkh Criminal Court today, Sunday, for enticing a complainant into naming her and her daughter in return for payment. “The convicts took amounts of cash from the complainant in return for selecting her and her girl in one of the public authority divisions by utilizing false techniques and furnishing them with manufactured arrangement letters,” the Preeminent Legal Committee said in an explanation.
“The decision comes in view of the arrangements of Article 456/1/An and B and considering Articles 47, 48 and 49 of Reformatory Code No. 111 of 1969 on interest,” the chamber said.
