Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rasheed, on Monday, briefed the heads and representatives of Arab diplomatic missions accredited to Iraq on the issue related to the head of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the scholar Cardinal Louis Sacco.

In the meeting, he welcomed the Holy Prophet, affirming that Iraq’s relations with the neighboring countries and the rest of the world, especially the Islamic countries and the Middle East, are good.

The president explained that the situation in Iraq is much better now, and that the cities and governorates are witnessing security stability, and at the same time there are campaigns to dry up the sources of terrorism.

And the President of the Republic said that without security and stability, no government program can be implemented.

The meeting also witnessed the explanation of the constitutional requirements for the withdrawal of the Public Decree No. (147) of 2013, and the confirmation that the religions and religions are at the same level, which is a respectable part of the noble components of the Iraqi people.

He pointed out that the relationship between the federal government and the government of the Kurdistan Region is good, and work is underway to issue the oil and gas law, pointing out the importance of encouraging brotherly and friendly countries to invest in Iraq.

In turn, the Syrian Arab Ambassador, Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah, expressed his wishes for the establishment of security and peace in Iraq, emphasizing the need for joint coordination and cooperation.

As for the Lebanese Ambassador Ali al-Habhab, he emphasized the importance of working to reassure the tribes in Iraq, and thanked the Presidency of the Republic for this approach.

The Egyptian ambassador, Walid Muhammad Ismail, expressed his support for the measures taken in Iraq after the burning of the Qur’an, pointing to the importance of the security of diplomatic missions.

Regarding the burning of Al-Musaf al-Sharif, President Abdul Latif Jamal Rasheed in Iraq condemned the attacks on the Holy Qur’an and asked the Swedish authorities not to repeat those shameful acts.
