On Thursday, political analyst Qassem Al-Tamimi stated that Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi has lost many of his political advantages and is now in the later stage of his political career. Al-Tamimi predicts that Al-Halbousi will face severe consequences in the upcoming elections.
According to Al-Tamimi, it is highly unlikely for Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi to maintain his political influence, as it has significantly weakened in recent times, particularly due to the rejection of his personality by the people in Anbar.
He stated that Al-Halbousi’s political career has come to an end and it is unlikely that he will achieve satisfactory results in the upcoming provincial elections scheduled for the end of this year.
He suggested that the evidence points towards outcomes that al-Halbousi and his political party would not want. This is especially true since he has lost much of his support in the western provinces by not fulfilling the promises he made during the last period. As a result, he will likely face severe consequences.
