Parliamentary Integrity: Al-Sudani committed a legal and constitutional violation, and Al-Alaq is negligent in his action

Hadi Al-Salami, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, stated on Tuesday that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani had violated legal and constitutional regulations when appointing Ali Al-Alaq as Governor of the Central Bank. He further added that Al-Alaq was negligent in his work and was unable to provide effective solutions to the ongoing dollar crisis.

Al-Salami stated that the Governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alaq, was appointed to the position by Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani through a proxy for a period of 6 months. However, even after the end of this period, no new order was issued to him nor was he removed from the position and replaced with another person.

He stated that the Sudanese had committed a legal and constitutional violation, as the request to host them in the House of Representatives had not been scheduled yet.

The speaker stated that the bank governor failed to perform his assigned task and was negligent in his work. Additionally, the high prices of the dollar negatively affected citizens, but the governor was unable to find solutions to this issue.
