The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee provided clarity on Thursday regarding the key provisions of the Immunodeficiency (AIDS) Law. They emphasized that the law includes provisions for financial and real estate compensation for those who are infected.

During an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, committee member Basem Al-Gharabi explained that the immunodeficiency law pertains to individuals who were affected by the actions of the French company Mario in 1986.

He stated that the law was read for the first time and will undergo further review with the government before being included for its second reading.

The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee has announced that new laws will be introduced in the near future to improve the healthcare sector in the country.
