The Parliamentary Finance Committee denied on Tuesday that Parliament is seeking to dismiss Ali Al-Alaq, the Governor of the Central Bank.

The head of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, stated that the Parliamentary Finance Committee has no intention of dismissing the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq.

Al-Atwani urged the media to rely on the official news issued by the committee’s presidency. He emphasized the full support of the committee for the measures taken by the Central Bank of Iraq to stabilize the market and control the exchange rate. Moreover, he highlighted their constant communication and coordination to address any obstacles and causes that hinder the progress towards the goal of restoring stability to the market.
