The parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee in the House of Representatives reiterated its confirmation that the budget will not be affected by the drop in the price of a barrel of oil to $70.
According to Nehru Mahmoud Qadir, representative director, the council “fears that if the price of a barrel of oil goes below $70 in the budget for next year.”.
He continued, “The price of the barrel of oil in the budget of 2024 was estimated at $70, and it won’t be influenced by the slight fluctuation in the price of oil.”
“Employees’ salaries are fully secured even if oil prices fell to $70,” he emphasized.
