An individual from the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Normal Assets Board, Ali Saadoun Al-Lami, affirmed on Tuesday that there are numerous unsettled questionable focuses among Baghdad and Erbil, as well as the oil-creating governorates, forestalling the reception of the oil and gas regulation.

Al-Lami said in a proclamation to Al-Maalouma, “The oil and gas regulation, and in spite of the fact that there is a development to endorse it, the distinctions between the middle and the district keep this reason from being accomplished right now.”

He added, “Numerous dubious focuses are as yet unsettled among Baghdad and Erbil, which makes passing the oil and gas regulation unimaginable, and in this way there are no indications of supporting the law.”

He expressed, “There are 13 disputed matters between the state run administrations of Baghdad and Erbil, as well as the oil-creating governorates, and these address the greatest hindrances to passing this regulation.”

Al-Lami brought up that “these focuses can’t be settled by any means, which affirms the difficulty of passing the law in its ongoing structure.”
