The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Friday notification indicates that the My Electronic Financial Account project now includes the National Bank of Iraq (NBI).
Today, the project comprises five partnering banks: Ashur, Bank of Beirut, BBAC, Cihan Bank, and National Bank of Iraq (BNI).
This phase is part of the regional government’s ongoing initiatives to expand the scope of operation of the Hasabe project, thereby providing more services to staff members, consumers, and recipients.
This phase seeks to stimulate healthy competition in the financial services and banking industries. The government has promised to provide these banks with more cost information.
The Kurdistan Regional Government plans to further cooperate with other banks and the National Bank of Iraq. People should anticipate an electronic digital payment system being applied starting at the beginning of next year. This system should motivate more banks to participate in the account project.
