Head of the Qamidoon Parliamentary faction Kamel Anid Al-Akeili refuted today, Sunday, that the House of Representatives voted to increase members’ wages and allowances.
Al-Akeili said in his comment, “The news that indicated an increase in the salaries of the members of the House of Representatives is incorrect, indicating that former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi issued an order to reduce the salaries of the representatives.”
He went on, “The Federal Court issued a decision to address the issue, but the former Speaker of the House of Representatives excluded over 42 general managers from this treatment.”
He went on, “Based on a complaint filed by MP Basem Khashan, the court reversed the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, noting that what happened in last years.”
