According to a statement made by Peshwa Hauramani, the spokesperson for the regional government, the Kurdistan Regional Government no longer has control over the oil revenues. Hauramani stated that some political parties and individuals have not acknowledged the legal and constitutional position of the Kurdistan Region over the past few years. They have not acted as responsible citizens interested in the well-being of the people of Kurdistan. Hauramani’s message to them is to refrain from further damaging the status of the Kurdistan Region. Instead, they should take responsibility and act in accordance with the constitutional rights of the people of Kurdistan.
The regional government’s spokesperson emphasized that salaries are crucial to people’s lives and livelihoods, and should not be used for political gain or to harm the legal and constitutional status of the Kurdistan Region.
