On Thursday, legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi affirmed that Iraq has all legal rights to sue America and Kuwait and bring them under Chapter VII for endangering its security and stability and so breaching its sovereignty.
“Iraq can file a complaint with the United Nations and the Security Council against Kuwait if it was a partner in the recent aggression on the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces,” Al-Tamimi informed Al-Maalouma/.
“Iraq has an agreement with the United States, noting that Article 27 of this agreement obliges Washington to provide protection for Iraqi lands,” he said. “What happened recently in terms of targeting inside Iraq is a violation of the agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington.”
