Kurdistan MP confirms civil servants’ salaries to be disbursed next week

Previous Kurdistan Parliament member Ali Hama Salih reported on Wednesday, the pay rates of government employees in the Kurdistan District are expected to be paid exactly on time one week from now.

Salih made understanding of the fundamental problem causing the setback for compensation distribution during a question and answer session: it is related with the financing arrangements of safety powers.

“The payroll lists of approximately 47,000 employees from the Asayish (security forces) institution in the Kurdistan Region, as well as approximately 300,000 persons affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, Peshmerga forces, and Units 70 and 80 have not yet been fully audited.”

Salih comforted, “Pay rates are supposed to be dispensed toward the start of the following week,’s featuring an increment of roughly 26,000 workers this month, which has raised the absolute finance cost by roughly 109 billion Iraqi dinars, from 913 billion dinar last month to roughly 1.01 trillion dinar this month.”

Kurdish Agent Top state leader Qubad Talabani confirmed last Sunday that after the government leading body of preeminent review completes the check of the worker records, the pay rates of the representatives of the District would be delivered from Baghdad.

Talabani said during the launching event of the Farouq tunnel in Al-Sulaymaniyah: “The verification process of the employee salary lists is not yet complete.” Once it is completed, the rundowns will be sent off the Service of Money for pay rates; subsequently, they will be transferred to the Kurdistan Area for appropriation.
