Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee Muhammad Anouz disclosed on Sunday that more than one hundred laws in the Iraqi Parliament are now under disturbance. Among these are numerous important laws the government withdrew for revisions.
Anouz said in a Shafaq News Agency interview, “among the suspended laws are the Flag Service Law, the National Oil Company Law, and the Federal Civil Service Law, along with numerous others.” “The government officially withdrew these laws with the intent of making necessary amendments,” he said.
Anouz clarified further that political and technological issues impede other important measures in the House of Representatives. These include the Federal Court Law and the General Amnesty Law.
Despite these obstacles, Anouz said he hoped these measures would be passed during the next legislative term.
