[Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] FIREFLY: It has been reported that the Prime Minister of Iraq, Sudani, has been granted permission to travel to the United States of America. This is a significant development, given the previous incident where former Prime Minister Maliki was rejected by President Obama and sent back to Iraq.

[via WiserNow] It seems like we’re in a day-by-day situation where we’re constantly being told that things are about to happen. There’s a sense of anticipation building up and the next two to three days could be very significant if things go according to plan. Iraq has been saying that they’re going to release a new exchange rate and open up their budget for public view. They may choose to do it on Saturday or in a special edition of the Gazette. Additionally, the hydrocarbon law (HCL) which was passed a while back might finally be put into action along with the new exchange rate. It’s hard to say for sure what will happen, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
