Consumption of more than 33 million liters of car gas in Iraq during a month

The Oil Products Distribution Company announced on Tuesday a significant increase in the quantities of LPG consumed by citizens, which exceeded 33 million liters during the month of August in all outlets in the country affiliated with the Oil Products and Gas Filling Companies.

The company’s general manager, Hussein Talib, said in a statement today that the consumption indicators of car gas last month indicated a significant increase of approximately (5) million liters compared to July, which prompted the company to open new outlets to cover the increasing needs of citizens.

He also pointed out that the quantities of LPG consumed by citizens increased to 33 million liters in all outlets in all governorates, affiliated with the Oil Products and Gas Filling Companies.

In turn, the Director of the Supply Authority, Falah Hashem, pointed out that the distribution company now owns (63) distribution outlets for vehicle gas after recently opening (4) new outlets in the governorates of (Baghdad, Najaf, Diwaniyah, Salah al-Din), while the gas filling company added (4) new outlets.

He pointed out that the total number of outlets for both companies reached (118) outlets, (55) of which belong to the gas filling company, and (63) belong to the distribution company, stressing that efforts are continuing to cover the governorates with other new outlets.
