Today, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, the President of the Council of Representatives, has issued a parliamentary decree to create an investigative committee. The al-Siyadah parliamentary bloc has issued a statement outlining their concern about residential demolitions affecting citizens in Samarra. This committee has been tasked with investigating the matter. Other members of the committee are Deputy Khaled Hassan Al-Daraji, Deputy Sami’a Mohammed Ghalab, Deputy Mahdi Taqi, Deputy Abdul Rahim Al-Shamri, and Deputy Haitham Mahmoud Zahwan.
