Mohammed Al-Ziyadi, MP for the State Support Bloc, stated on Saturday that signatures had been gathered to include a paragraph outlining the government’s allegation that the tables it sent to Parliament differed from those provided to it following a vote on them.
“The government sent a letter to the House of Representatives claiming that the tables sent to it by the parliament vary from those it sent to the parliament,” Al-Ziyadi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency.
“This book created a confusing atmosphere between Parliament and the government, and hence parliamentary signatures were collected to include a paragraph to discuss the issue and so determine the truth of the dispute between Parliament and the government regarding the schedules and who was behind it,” he said.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers wrote a letter to the House of Representatives to find out about the manipulation of the budget table. Examining the printed tables attached to the letter signed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives (acting), it was discovered that there were basic differences in them compared to the version sent by the Council of Ministers and against the text of the mentioned parliamentary decision, according to the accompanying tables in the letter sent to the Parliament.
