The Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, explained that the administration is very interested in the energy file, as it is one of the bases on which the economic plans and infrastructure projects in all sectors depend, if a development renaissance is to be witnessed by the country.
A statement by his media office reads, “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani presided over a meeting to develop the immediate and future plans to address the electricity shortage.”
Discussion foreseen at the meeting was targeted at developing a new technical and economic vision to deal with the problem of lack of electricity supply in both the short and long term, and develop rapid solutions contributing to providing electricity to citizens and other vital sectors.
“The meeting discussed the approved mechanism for submitting fuel and the financing mechanism in the new economic model for electricity production projects, planned by the government inside its new vision in this important sector,” the statement said.
