Today, Wednesday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, met with Hanu Pevkur, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Estonia, along with his delegation.
A statement from his office, received by Shafaq News Agency, stated that discussions regarding the friendship relations between Iraq and Estonia and their development took place during the meeting. Additionally, Estonia’s participation in the international coalition to combat terrorism was reviewed, and the importance of developing bilateral economic partnership and expanding cooperation in the fields of cybersecurity and governance were emphasized.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister confirmed the government’s efforts to establish relations with the coalition to combat terrorism. This is in line with the post-war period against ISIS gangs. The Prime Minister also emphasized the need to confront the discourse that promotes and incites violence and terrorism, as well as stimulates hatred among peoples.
