The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, launched the executive work on a large tourist complex project in Baghdad’s center today. The project comprises a big hotel, a residential complex, and several tourist amenities.
The Prime Minister’s media office announced that the Qatari Investment Holding Company laid the foundation stone for the first Qatari investment project in Iraq. This project is in line with the government’s goal to enhance opportunities, work towards economic integration, and create an attractive investment environment for foreign companies contributing to infrastructure projects in Iraq.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister welcomed the brothers from Qatar and appreciated their initiative and persistence in implementing the first cooperation between Iraq and Qatar.
He mentioned that the President of the Council thanked the government team, the Mayor of Baghdad, the Chairman of the Investment Commission, the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the advisors who helped allocate land and grant investment licenses in record time.
According to a statement, Al-Sudani emphasized that the Iraqi government provides support and facilities to serious companies. He also said that the government will support the private sector in implementing investment projects across Iraq.
