Member of the Popular Legal Movement, Ahmed Shahid Al-Shammari, confirmed today that the United States is punishing Iraq with dollars for various reasons.
During an interview with [publication name], Al-Shammari suggested that the rise of the dollar was a deliberate move to target Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and his government.
He added, “The Parliament Presidency failed to discuss the issue of the rising dollar exchange rate by inviting and consulting relevant parties to devise effective solutions.”
According to him, the increasing value of the dollar in the black market is causing a lot of worry among the masses. He emphasized that the surge in the dollar’s sale is deliberate and the United States is supporting it with the aim of harming the Sudanese populace as well as their government.
Representative Hadi Al-Salami issued a warning about the risks of losing control over the parallel market’s exchange rate for the dollar, as it surpassed 163 dinars per 100 dollars.
