On Thursday, a security source in the Anbar Governorate disclosed that American jets had arrived at the Al-Asad and Al-Tanf bases with a substantial contingent of soldiers and military hardware.
According to the source, “US planes carrying soldiers and military equipment landed at the Syrian Al-Tanf base and the Al-Assad Air Base in Al-Baghdadi district of Hit district, west of Anbar, intending to strengthen the security protection of the two bases after drones attacked them.”
He said, “There is information indicating material losses and human casualties as a result of the attack, but American forces filtered this information for known reasons.”
The source clarified, saying, “As part of the efforts to strengthen precautionary measures around these bases due to the fear that they will be exposed to similar attacks in the future, as a result of their absolute support for the Zionist occupation forces in their brutal attacks against the Palestinians, the American forces transferred military reinforcements from one of their bases in the State of Kuwait to the Syrian base of Al-Assad and Al-Tanf.”
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the Al-Tanf base with three drones and successfully hit their intended targets.
