On Saturday, Hamid al-Mutlaq, the former deputy of Anbar province, stated that the upcoming elections in the province will not grant any political party or alliance a majority in the provincial council. He also mentioned that the Halbousi party is going through a challenging political phase.

He mentioned that no party or alliance will achieve a majority in the provincial council from the upcoming elections in Anbar province.
According to Al-Mutlaq, Al-Halbousi’s political party is facing a challenging time because of the high number of competitors and their varying interests. Nonetheless, the party is still moving forward and making progress.
Dhari al-Dulaimi, the leader of the Anbar coalition, informed Al-Maalouma that Muhammad al-Halbousi, the Parliament Speaker, is attempting to infiltrate his political opponents from the Resolve and Decisive coalitions. This is being done in an effort to prevent the collection of signatures for his removal from office.
