Representative Zainab al-Moussawi of the Sadiqoon bloc accused the American side on Thursday of attempting to sabotage all reforms made by the Iraqi government.
According to Al-Moussawi’s statement to Al-Maalouma, the recent sanctions imposed by the US on Iraqi banks are intended to incite negative sentiment among the Iraqi public towards the Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani government.
She stated that there will be an increase in US interventions in the following days, which could result in the implementation of sanctions on additional banks.
She stated that all American decisions go against international law, particularly in light of the Sudanese government’s progress in addressing corruption and other issues related to sovereignty and economics.
