MP Hadi Al-Salami put forth a trade-off solution on Thursday to help to overcome the national compensation scale problem.
Al-Salami said, “There is a work to accomplish equity in state establishments regarding monetary freedoms and to make a fair compensation scale for all representatives as per explicit rules that address the discrepancies in a steady way.”
“We are really looking for a consensual solution that ends the salary scale problem by stating the reasons for its withdrawal and seeking to host the Prime Minister to answer the questions raised,” he said. “After it was pulled, the law has been in the government hallways almost two years ago.”
Noting that “the law will pave the way for addressing the issue of large segments of state employees who receive very small salaries, while there are categories that receive great salaries with privileges,” he said, “the law will pave the way for building a fair base through which to build and create greater effectiveness in state institutions.”
Regardless of the well-known events and demonstrations that have been ongoing for a very long period, it is pretty crucial that the pay scale is among the mind-boggling problems that has not been resolved at this point.
Taking notice of that “we cannot leave our law since others could do without it,” Al-Khafaji said in a TV interview followed by, “all that is being said about the revision is a misconception.”
He declared, “The representatives cannot change the jurisprudential and legal rulings.”
Al-Khafaji underlined that “the jurisprudential code will be inside the law and won’t be better than it.”
