The liberal politician, Dr. Qusay Mahbouba, stated on Wednesday that certain parties within the coordination framework are attempting to prevent Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani from completing his term in office. While acknowledging that Al-Sudani’s popularity is not as high as desired and that he should take steps to improve the lives of citizens, Dr. Mahbouba emphasized that Iraqi factions have no involvement in the Palestinian conflict.
Mahbouba stated on the 8th episode with Ahmed Al-Tayeb, followed by “Gazette,” that there are forces within the government who do not want the Sudanese president to complete his term. She also mentioned that although the Sudanese president is famous, his popularity is not at the level of ambition. Mahbouba stressed that the government needs to take steps to improve citizens’ lives and evaluate the performance of its advisory team.
He says, “Sudanese people are highly motivated to work, and I suggest they keep a close watch on the projects.” He also clarified that “the bottleneck elimination projects have progressed up to 17%, but the contractors have not yet received operational advances. The Central Bank doesn’t have a plan to cover the required budget.”
Mahbouba stated that the data supports holding local elections, and she encourages religious groups to refrain from interfering in political affairs. She also emphasized that the Communist Party and political Islam are similar and that her party will not form an alliance with the Communist Party.
He emphasized that their alliance would not include political Islam, the Communist Party, or the Baathist Nationalists. He pointed out that political Islam had failed in Egypt, Libya, and Iraq.
Regarding the Palestine issue, Mahbouba stated that the Iraqi factions are not involved in the Palestinian equation. According to her, there is no such thing as the Iraqi resistance, and the Palestinian resistance should avoid making mistakes.
During a recent conversation, he stated, “The Palestine conflict is undoubtedly a just cause. The recent conflict has resulted in a million Palestinians being displaced within just 11 days. It’s important to remember that the war was not just a result of the lightning operation carried out by Hamas. Israel presented themselves as oppressed before the world. The decision on peace and war should not be solely given to the hands of one organization.” He also predicted that Gaza will likely be divided into northern and southern parts.
He highlighted that the Iranian people are unwilling to engage in a battle that doesn’t concern them, similarly, Hezbollah won’t participate in an open war with Israel, and the Houthis and Syrian regime cannot alter the balance of power in the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel. Moreover, Qatar won’t be allowed to participate in the reconstruction of the Gaza strip this time around, and Hamas has lost its influence over the region.
