The head of the Kurdistan National Union, Bafil Talabani, and the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, discussed on Monday, finding “radical” solutions to the problems between the political parties and the Kurdistan Region, and the success of the Iraqi government.
The National Union of Kurdistan said in a statement to Shafaq News Agency that “The President of the National Union of Kurdistan, Bafil Jalal Talabani, met in Baghdad, the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, and during the meeting, Rifat Abdullah appointed the working committee, Barzat Kosrat Rasool, member of the working committee of the political office, Saadi Ahmed Beira, member of the political office, and Nazar Amidi, the Iraqi Minister of Environment, discussed the dialogue and coordination between the political forces and parties in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region towards a fundamental solution to the problems, and the success of the government’s action program and guaranteeing the welfare of the citizens.”
Regarding the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan region and the political solution to the problems, Bafil Talabani said, “The constitution should be the basis for solving the problems and the rights of the Kurdistan region should be included in the same frame, and it is important for the real partnership and common vision to overcome the challenges.
