The presidency of Iraq (the Republic, the Government, the Parliament, and the Judiciary) issued several resolutions, including the one related to the crisis in Sweden, the Federal Budget Law, and the Kurdistan Region.

This happened during the hosting of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Muhammad Al-Halboosi, in a gathering including the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rasheed, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, and the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zeidan; Shahd discussed the overall situation in the country and the number of important files, according to Shafaq News Agency’s statement.

And the presidents condemned, during the meeting, the deliberate abuse and the authorization of the Swedish authorities to abuse the holy book and the Iraqi knowledge, as the congregation expressed their support for the government measures to cut ties with Sweden or with any country that does not respect the holy things of Muslims or supports any action that is likely to insult the holy things and religions, stressing at the same time on the need to “take the necessary measures to protect diplomatic missions.”

The meeting discussed the federal budget law and the need to complete its teachings, follow-up projects and their nature, spending according to priorities and according to the government program.

Regarding the Kurdistan region, the meeting emphasized on “the application of the provisions of the Federal General Budget Law in all its details, which are related to oil and non-oil revenues and their entitlements”.

And the Iraqi presidents insisted on the necessity of “legislating the laws included in the government program and the document of the political agreement and approved by the political forces, including the general amnesty, oil and gas law and the Majlis Al-Ittihad law, in addition to a number of draft laws completed by the Presidency of the Republic which you send to the Majlis, including the law on the Supreme Authority for the Empowerment of Women, the Law on Restitution of Iraq’s Assets, and the Law on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances.”

In the case of water, the community emphasized the need to follow up with the source state, in addition to the need to enact the law of the Supreme Water Council, stressing at the same time the need to “continue cooperation and coordination between the authorities in all matters”.
